How come the professor can fix a radio and invent all those neat gadgets, and yet he can't manage to fix a lil' hole in the side of a boat? I always wondered that.

Jeff - I know it's a rhetorical question, but I think the answer is actually - no nails. There's no way to secure the boards over the hole. I think they tried gluing it in one episode, but the glue was shit & all the boards fell off.
