BLOGROLL FANTASY
Occasionally, I see people talk about who's on their blogrolls & why.
Sometimes I see people saying that they wish they were on my blogroll.
Me, I'm on most of the blogrolls that I'd like to be on, having scored with IMAO (twice!) and The Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler. But there are still a few holes in my heart.
Cox & Forkum - best damn cartoonists in the universe. Maybe if I bought their book...
Hog on Ice - reminds me of the kind of brilliantly witty, yet crudely irreverant, person I'd be if I would've finished law school. Maybe if I bought HIS book...
American Digest - THE most brilliantly insightful writer I've ever come across. It's like a cross between Lileks and Whittle, except no Gnat-blogging. If he had a book, I'd buy it.
USS Clueless - The man who can explain ANYTHING. The only problem is that he has a policy of never blogrolling anyone who asks to be blogrolled, so I've just slit my own throat on this one. That, and he stopped blogging.
*sigh*
Maybe he'll write a book.
I just hope it's not about anime...
Anyway, besides me, who do YOU desperately want to be blogrolled by?
ยป Tammi's World links with: Once Upon A Time...
Excerpt: Harvey has a post up about his Fantasy Blogroll. This of course caused me to respond with a rather long comment (there's a surprise) which is leading to this post. Have you ever wondered how I got started with this...

I hit Nirvana yesterday. All the rest are icing. I'm just at a very good place. I love my readers and I like my links.
I really enjoy Hogs On Ice, but his blogroll is full. IMAO too. I had to think about that though, as it's not a goal. I have them linked because I like THEM and I know they don't read me.
But I really like who I have, so I'm a happy happy girl.
I'm a very lucky girl. When I first started blogging I had the support of two of my inspirations - Laughing Wolf and Neptunus Lex - they sent out the birth announcement and blogrolled me immediately. WOW - little did I know.....
Then Teresa added me and I was doin' the happy dance. That lead to me eventually becoming a part of the family.
The biggest surprise was when Matt at Blackfive linked me and blogrolled me. I.Couldn't.Believe.It. Wow, was I honored. Then Mudville.....Then Hook....all my favorite MilBloggers and the ones that I first started reading so long ago.
The funniest thing is the one person who really got this whole ball rolling is Smash. He was my very first blog, and all things extended off of his blogroll. He's linked to me a couple of times, but I'm not blogrolled. I'm alright with that, but, yeah, it would be a fantasy.
Other than that, I'm pretty happy. I've got a couple new (to me) people to add to mine, but I think I've got a pretty darn good list.
Hey I not only got blogrolled but adopted by the one person who I wanted to be on their list.
My Blogdaddy
(um, so do I get like bonus suck-up points for this?)
I'm different than most.
I'm rather happy where I am.
When I read of the horrors that Glenn and Steven and the guys at Powerline put up with - no thanks.
The people who visit and comment at my site are mostly good natured and well reasoned. And I really appreciate that.
I'd rather be read by a few people who don't try to make my life miserable, thank you very much.
What Jon said.
I don't care who blogrolls me at this point, though I am very happy to have been linked by those that have... But then, you won't find a TTLB meme anywhere on my site, either.
I actually wouldn't want to be on a high profile blogroll; too much traffic means higher hosting bills. Screw that; mine is a personal weblog, not a public service.
If it sounds like I don't care if people read what I write or not... Not true, but my 3 year anniversary is coming up on the 17th, and I may be moving in that direction.
On the other hand, if I didn't have the comment interaction then I may as well not blog at all.
Contradiction, thy name is... ;)
What I wouldn't give to be on Harvey's blogroll....
Well, it's quite a long list, actually.
Meh... I wish people would take me OFF their blogrolls... then I wouldn't feel obligated to throw some POS post together everyday...
..ain't no WAY I'm telling here.. no way.. nope.. no way... shit, Harvey... I had to ASK your sorry ass for a link... oh, the shame.... I will never go through that again... ;)
I'd love to be blogrolled by (insert hot celebrity babe of the month's name here)! ;)
Machelle - Fine. Extra dollar in your allowance.
Brian - Make you a deal. Enable comments on your site, and you're on the 'roll.
Eric - Yeah, it was fun watchin' you beg. MUAHAHAHAHAHA!
Earl - Ya gotta un-hiatus yourself first :-)
Bartender - you ain't worth the sweat off my fingertips that it would take to clear you off my blogroll, so you can just suffer :-P
Is this a magic blog? I wrote out my wish and this morning find I'm on Smash's blogroll!!
:) (very very big grin)
Tammi - magic blog? Isn't that a song by The Who? :-)
i gave up my dream of being on your blogroll months ago. :) now i just fantasize that you'll actually read my blog surfing off someone else's blogroll. ;)
i'm otherwise pretty happy.
oh, who am i kidding, i want EVERYONE to blogroll me. i heart attention!
