But suffer first . . .

I thought the exact same thing when I saw the story...

Hanoi / Baghdad Jane. Great. Just what the war needed.

BITCH!!!!

You’re really pathetic. Vietnam as history shows was a mistake. Although her actions in Hanoi may not of been exactly right; her heart was in the right place. Since when does the greatest democratic country in the world oppose freedom and non aggression? Since when does a country, via its press, condemn a person who has the right to speak his or her mind. Your job is to report the news. Not take sides. What is becoming of the greatest nation on Earth? Freedom of speech is the most important right we have. Vietnam was wrong, Iraq is wrong, and the statistics show it. I don't much in the surveys since the sentences used are ambiguous. But look at the facts: the military cannot meet its quota anymore. That’s been happening for months now. That speaks for itself. Many will not volunteer for a conflict that was perpetrated by Bush. Second; we have 100,000 civilian, mercenaries in Iraq. Not military, but civilians providing the services that our military would normally do. This was never intended to be a war. It was all economics as was Vietnam. There is no domino effect in foreign policy here. Rather, we as a country have become the most hated nation in the world. Think about that and smoke that in your pipe. We need to change, and change fast. You media folks continue to brainwash the masses with your verbiage of words such as war. Vietnam was not a declared war, no was Iraq. The last war was world war 11. Please use the proper words to describe military action by the U.S. government. War connotates something completely different.

Yo, Harvey, is being in the Washington Post a good thing or a bad thing? :)

Give me a damn break, JR. What rock did you crawl out from under? I suggest you return.

Have you ever listened to a Vietnam POW speak in person? Have you met one? Pick any one of them and ask them what they think of her. Their treatment was significantly harsher because of her. And should you wonder, yes, I know some and yes, I've heard them speak.

She's a disgrace to this country. Whether you agree with a war or not, you do not do what she did. It is unforgiveable.

JR - Check the link on "enough damage".

THAT'S why I hate her.

you are damn hilarious

JR,

WHAT??!! Last time I checked, this blog was an opinionated, degrading (for some), and blatantly one sided atmosphere. Harvey has no obligation to report a story without an opinion whatsoever (Most of our US media monster doesn't even do that anyway.)

If you want a story that is unbiased....write your own, you won't find it here, or anywhere else.

Oh, and world war 11? where the hell was world wars 3 through 10?

Call me Winkle

troll somewhere else pal.

Harvey exemplified on July 28, 2005 03:51 PM

Don't chase my troll away! I was just starting to have fun!

... dang :-(

...wait... are you calling me biased?

*slaps Mike with white glove*

Suh, you have insulted my honuh!

I think Jane Fonda should be killed. What she did was unthinkable and she should be punished so severely for her anti-american communist actions.
