MAYBE FIND A CAT WHO DRIVES A HUMMER?

Niece/blogdaughter Sarah of That's Not Very Nice! has a problem that needs imput from the collective brain of the blogosphere:

I seem to have a problem with my truck. not mechanical, not electrical, something very different. Mice. My beautiful 'new' truck has a mighty big case of the mice.
[...]
There are mouse turds all over the seat this week. And it stinks. I suspect they are living in the cab corners (corners of the cab behind the doors). I don't want to put poison in there, because I do not want them dying where I can't get to them. I am going to have to put traps in there. My husband thinks this whole situation is hilarious. Me, not so much. If anyone has any ideas on how to get rid of mice in a vehicle, PLEASE leave a comment.

Borrow/Buy a boa constrictor and leave it in your car a few nights. They are not mean to people, but even if it bites you, they don't have sharp teeth. If you are afraid of loosing it, leave him with a heat rock. I guarantee you will find him every morning curled up on the heat rock every morning with a belly full of mice.
I speak from experience, our boa cleared our entire house of mice once!

She needs to visit Bou's old site. She has written on this topic in the past.

Tell hubby it can get to be costly if you start seeing insulation. The humor starts to fade then.

The voice of experince, use livetraps for this
unless you know fer sure there big mice.
a standard mouse trap tends to catch smaller mice at the mid point leaving you to have to get rid of a still wiggling mouse not fun.

Holy crap. I think I'm having a case of PTSD. She HOPES they're mice. I thought mice too... until I saw it was 9 inch black canal rat. OH and she does NOT want that thing dying in her car. I've heard stories. *shudder*

Ack! And its a 5 part series. I'll post on it tonight...

Drive through Wisconsin. I'm sure they'll leave for cheese when she parks the truck. Then hi-tail it outta there.

tbflowers,
I got the truck from Wisconsin, and brought it to Minnesota. Maybe I should put a bucket of beer in there and they will jump in and drown? Do Wisconsin mice like Old Milwaukee or Blatz?

I'm thinking 12000 watt sound system and BD of bagpipe music.
