MAN ON FIRE
Blogson _Jon of We Swear has seen United 93, and had a reaction.
I haven't seen him this agitated in a LONG time.
It's nice to see him swearing again.
Anyway, I may try to talk Beloved Wife TNT into seeing the movie now. I was going to give it a miss, since I still remember what happened on 9/11, but after reading _Jon's post, I get the feeling that maybe it would do me good to remember it a little more clearly.

I think its a good idea to support films like this to counter movies that lie about what happened that day and to remind us of the truth. I live with the truth every minute of every day. Especially on days they find body a body part. On those days I hope & wait for the ID of 1 of my friends, so I can finally have closure.
The memory wanes for others. Especially for those in smaller quieter towns whose landscapes are different. Peoples lives were not closely woven to those in or distantly touched by this tragedy.
In the past a new yorkers would ignore or not even register a couple of police car sirens going by. Since 9/11 people on the street stop and look in the direction they are headed and somewhere in the back of our minds a small temporary flashback is triggered that takes us back to that day. It is that experience that fuels our vigilance. It is that high level of vigilance which has foiled 3 other attacks since then. Funny how the MSM doesn't seem to cover or give as much attention to these attempt or cover their trials.
Not to downplay the emotional movie and that everyone should see it, but seriously, what have cookware and home improvement to do with this post?? Love that trackback spam.
Amazing how fast they found this post...
... deleted 'em...
My reaction to the movie directly addresses Michele's point: "Funny how the MSM doesn't seem to cover..."
I'm going to fix that problem.
I WANT to see it, but I'm afraid I'll break down. I've been known to cry over TV commercials.
My hubby and I saw it last week. Very powerful. And I agree with everything _Jon had to say... especially the swear words...
