I'M GUESSING I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE THINKING THIS
When I heard about the campus shootings in Virgina, my first thought was to condsider how this could've been stopped early if even ONE student in the crowd of law-abiding victims had had a gun on him.
A *very* strong argument in this post-9/11, post-Columbine world for mandatory concealed carry for all adult, non-felon, American citizens.
The real tragedy, Harv, is in these modern school shootings the local LEOs are all standing around outside forming perimeters and establishing chains of command. The new breed of police administrators are so afraid that a bluesuit might shoot the wrong person that nobody goes in for long periods. Meanwhile the shooter keeps shooting.
You see there is a strong possibility of a lawsuit if an LEO goes in by himself and makes a mistake. There are no lawsuits for assing around outside, gathering intelligence.
So more people die. But the bosses can't be sued, that is the important thing, right?
Virginia Tech - like most schools - has a strict No Gun policy.
Now, I'm just thinking logically here: If no one is allowed to have guns on campus, than what happened yesterday obviously couldn't have possibly happened!
Hurrah! Anti-gun policies all over the country are proved infallible once again
It's a very strong argument indeed. I hope it gets through to some of those whe just don't get it.
Well unfortunately the MSM is taking the opposing stance. They have people saying that if guns were illegal the shooter wouldn't have been able to get this gun and it all would have been prevented.
Don't forget, the MSM also originally said that the shooter had a 22mm semi-automatic pistol.
Damn, I want one too. That's a wrist-breaker if I ever saw one....
I'm sportin' woood, just thinking about it.
oh, oh, ah.
I've heard the left-wing has been pushing the "no guns" argument. Saying a law could stop this makes as much sense as saying a piece of paper could stop a tank.
If someone commits themselves to an illegal action, only a citizenry in full possession of their constitutional rights is capable of taking action to prevent an horrific event such as the one at Virginia Tech.
I cannot recall an incident of this nature ever happening at a gun range.
These things only happen in areas where guns are forbidden. Schools, post offices, work places where people are unarmed. It's time we point this out to the lefties. We've tried it their way and it hasn't worked.
