I'M TEMPTED TO DO THIS MYSELF
Yeah, it's mean, but sometimes you can't resist screwing with people who are overly devoted to their TV shows.
I'm often tempted to walk out of movie theaters muttering something made-up about the movie's ending so the people waiting in line can overhear me.
You know, like after the movie "Grumpy Old Men", walk out saying, "I can't believe all of them died in the end. I mean, I know they were all old and all..."
But I've never done it.
I don't want the husband to get beat up trying to defend me from the angry mob.
We get them in our paper now. Love it! And I would love to do something like that to 24. ;)
vw, i do that to my brother all the time when he misses the show. I'll shoot him a text message like "Oh My God, they killed Chloe, those bastards" Just to wind him up.
so yeah, i recommend it.
:-D
I posted my related story here. Thanks for the reminder of a good laugh.
Now that Tommy mentioned it, I used to do that to the husband with Star Trek: Next Generation. He'd often fall asleep before the end of the show and ask me if he missed anything. I'd say, "The Enterprise blew up, and everyone on board died."
Then one day, about five minutes into the show, the Enterprise really DID blow up! (One of those time warp/loop episodes.)
And I was speechless.
